Over the past few years I have delivered a range of talks to camera clubs, societies, university groups, photographic festivals and other public events. Below is a selection of topics on which I am able to offer talks and more will be added soon.

Join me on a tour of Tasmania in search of the threatened Tasmanian devil and the enigmatic weedy seadragon. Learn about the threats to the survival of the Tasmanian devil and experience the wilderness areas of its home range. At the same time, dive into Tasmania’s rich and diverse seas, home to towering forests of giant kelp and incredible creatures.
Learn about volunteer diving in Dorset and Hampshire, the sites we visit and the species we see. Discover the weird and wonderful, from the tiniest fish to monsters of the deep. Learn how our local species shape and structure the seabed building rich and diverse communities. I guarantee you’ll be surprised just how much is down there!
What got me started in wildlife photography? How did I learn the tricks of the trade and what happened along the way? This talk will take you from the wilds of South Africa and the meerkats of the Kalahari to the coral reefs of the Philippines and the chilly yet rich and colourful seas around our shores including the story of how I photographed the underwater gannets with Richard Shucksmith.
Take a dive around the UK’s seas taking in the Scilly Isles, Southwest, Scotland and Shetland. Along the way we’ll encounter friendly seals, bold and inquisitive blue sharks, rare species and enough jellyfish to send a shiver down your spine! Dive in with gannets in the seas around Shetland and discover the little known outlying islands of North Rona and Sula Sgeir.
